2. Restrict yourself from drinking alcoholic beverages. Alcoholic beverages could trigger your pressure to rise. Keep in mind that alcohol is a depressant that could trigger an irregularity beating of the heart. Such manner could dictate an erratic heart beat which could cause your pressure to rise and fall.

3. Quit smoking if you are a smoker. A lot of commercials or billboards are posted nowadays that says “smoking kills.” Well, it’s true! Smoking does kill a person slowly but surely. If you are hypertensive and a smoker, you better quit today before everything gets worse. A cigarette contains nicotine which decreases the ability of your blood to carry oxygen. Such manner causes your blood pressure to increase significantly. Not to mention, that smoking is also harmful to your lungs.

4. Quit having a sedentary lifestyle. If you are the kind of person who just sits in front of the TV and eats a lot of junk food while watching, then wake up! Stop! Get up and move your feet.
