Many women that have taken prenatal vitamins swear that it causes hair growth. This of course is debatable as I am sure there are many that would say otherwise. There has been research done that showed a correlation between hair thickness and growth and prenatal vitamin intake. Once again, there is also research that points otherwise (you should always consider the source of that which you read). One question that arises is,”What is the difference between a prenatal vitamin and a regular vitamin supplement?”<\/p>\n

Most prenatal vitamins include a greater amount of folic acid as well as calcium. Folic acid has been included in a lot of studies and been shown to assist in the growth of hair. Some hypothesize that it is the folic acid increase in prenatal vitamins that cause hair growth. Some say that folic acid works so well because it assists in the formation of new cells. Calcium on other hand is good for a number of things but especially effective in the strengthening of bone and some believe that is plays a big part in the maintenance of a healthy scalp. The main question really is this, “Does taking a prenatal vitamin really help hair growth?” With enough data out there already I would suggest giving it a try and seeing if it works for you. If you have tried taking prenatal vitamins and it has not helped in terms of the growth then perhaps you may need to try one of the leading hair growth products on the market.<\/p>\n

One other suggestion is to try a few of the more popular natural means of stimulating hair growth. Some of these include:<\/p>\n

Massage. Lightly and frequently massage your scalp with a gentle caressing motion from the fingers. This can do wonders with regards to opening up the hair follicles.<\/p>\n

Eat a Well Balanced Diet. Make sure you get enough vitamins and minerals in your diet.<\/p>\n

Eat well balanced meals every two to three hours a day and this will go a long way in order to provide the vitamins you need.<\/p>\n
